Played for Root Bros (Roseland Little League) 67,68 & 69,
attended St. Willie's Grade School. My Mom used to give me 50 cents to ride the CTA to the YMCA every Saturday. 12 cents there and 12 cents back, enough left over for two white castle hamburgers, fries and orange drink. Always dreampt of going to Mendal Catholic High School. Never made it, move to the burbs in 1970. What was the name of that penny candy store on 111th street? I always loved going into that little hobby shop store between Michigan Ave and State street.
